Goals from Serge Aurier and Son Heung-min gave Tottenham Hotspur a 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at Wembley Stadium.

Spurs had a number of early chances, with Son, Erik Lamela and Aurier all seeing efforts blocked.

The breakthrough came on 40 minutes, when Aurier's cross from the right wing looped over everyone in the box and into the far top corner.

Son sealed the three points with a stooping header from a Christian Eriksen free-kick on 87 minutes.

The win moves Spurs up to fourth with 31 points, while Brighton remain 13th.
