Manchester United and Liverpool have been drawn to face the last two winners of the Premier League International Cup in the quarter-finals of this season's competition.
United will take on 2016 champions Villarreal in a meeting of the only two teams with 100 per cent records in the group stages.
As with the last-16 draw of the UEFA Champions League, Liverpool take on Porto, the defending champions, who qualified as one of two best-placed runners-up.
A Wear-Tyne derby pits last year's runners-up, Sunderland, against Newcastle United, while Arsenal v Dinamo Zagreb completes the draw.
Matches will be one-off ties that will go to extra-time and penalties if the teams cannot be separated after 90 minutes.
The dates and venues will be confirmed at a later date.
