Tom Heaton has declared himself ready to return from injury as Burnley prepare for their trip to West Bromwich Albion this weekend.
The goalkeeper dislocated a shoulder in September but says he is fully fit to fight Nick Pope for a starting spot.
“Popey has been fantastic, but that’s part and parcel of club football," Heaton told Burnley's official website.
“I have been desperate to get back and back fit and I want to play some games this season."
Heaton has been regaining match sharpness with the club's Professional Development League side and is raring to regain his place in between the sticks.
"I’ll probably speak to the manager and to the physios," he said. "But in terms of where I feel, I feel sharp and ready to go and the arm feels superb.”
