1997: Blackburn Rovers 4-0 Coventry City
Chris Sutton scored twice as Blackburn Rovers eased to victory over 10-man Coventry City at Ewood Park.
Sutton gave the hosts the breakthrough in the 17th minute, and Coventry suffered another blow three minutes later as Dion Dublin was sent off.
Kevin Gallacher and Sutton piled on the misery, netting four minutes apart to give Blackburn a 3-0 half-time lead. Substitute Giorgos Donis wrapped up the scoring in the second half.
Blackburn leapfrogged Coventry in the table, moving into 14th place on goal difference, with both teams having 23 points.
2005: Dean Ashton joins Norwich City
Norwich City spent a then club-record fee to sign striker Dean Ashton from Crewe Alexandra.
Ashton marked his home debut by scoring against Middlesbrough as the Canaries came from 4-1 down in the 79th minute to earn a 4-4 draw.
He ended the season with seven goals from 16 Premier League appearances, but Norwich were relegated and Ashton moved to West Ham United in January 2006.
