2008: Zamora joins Fulham from West Ham
Bobby Zamora arrived at Fulham from West Ham United in a joint-deal that also involved the transfer of team-mate John Pantsil.
The striker scored just twice in 35 Premier League appearances in his first season at Craven Cottage but fared better the following campaign, scoring eight PL goals and providing crucial strikes in a UEFA Europa League campaign that went all the way to the final.
He made 91 PL appearances in four seasons at Craven Cottage and scored 20 goals.
Zamora then moved to Queens Park Rangers, scoring the winning goal in the 2014 Championship playoff final against Derby County and totalling 66 top-flight appearances with the west London club.
He briefly returned to former club Brighton & Hove Albion before hanging up his boots in December 2016.
2014: Diego Costa joins Chelsea
Chelsea completed the signing of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid on a five-year contract.
Costa quickly established himself as a key player at Chelsea, and one of the best forwards in Europe, leading the line with a powerful, aggressive style that brought him 20 top-flight goals in his debut season and helped Jose Mourinho’s side win the league title.
The Spain international also scored 20 goals in his third and final campaign, which resulted in another Premier League title winner’s medal for the Spain international.
He scored 52 goals in 89 PL appearances for the Blues before returning to Atletico.
