Isak Thorvaldsson put Norwich ahead at their Colney Training Centre just after the half-hour.

Anthony Spyrou scored in successive matches to double the lead and it proved the winner after Kelsey Mooney pulled a late goal back for Villa.

Norwich climb to 10th while Villa remain fifth on 23 points seven off the top.
