Glenn Hoddle says Jurgen Klopp showed tactical brilliance to earn the 2019/20 Barclays Manager of the Season award.
Klopp delivered Liverpool's first-ever Premier League title last season as the Reds became the first team to secure top spot with seven matches to spare.
The German was named Barclays Manager of the Month a record-breaking five times as his side won 32 matches overall, equalling Manchester City's feat from 2017/18 and 2018/19.
Liverpool were also victorious in 18 consecutive matches, amassing 55 points from a possible 57 at home, the joint-most alongside Chelsea (2005/06), Manchester United (2010/11) and Man City (2011/12).
And Hoddle, the former Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur and England manager, explained how Klopp's tactical acumen impressed him enough to secure his vote.
"Jurgen is the deserving winner after taking Liverpool to their first league title in 30 years," said Hoddle.
"He regularly produced tactical masterclasses to beat big teams, they picked off the lesser sides and to claim 99 points was astonishing."
