The first trial event match of 2020/21 took place on Saturday between Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea at the Amex Stadium.
With a number of Government guidelines in place, 2,500 supporters attended the pre-season friendly for the first time since COVID-19 affected the sport in March.
Face masks were worn in and around the ground, hand sanitiser was provided outside, temperature checks and socially distanced seating were all part of the safety measures taken.
Below are some photos taken at the event.
Instructions are on display outside the stadium telling supporters the safety measures they must follow. All payments in the stadium will be cashless, with contactless payment preferred.
Supporters stop to clean their hands at a sanitiser station, which will be available across the stadium, on entry to all turnstiles, the store, near catering outlets and within toilets.
Named photographic ID must be shown on entry and must match the name on the ticket. Entry will not be permitted without your photo ID and match ticket being verified.
Socially distanced seating is in place as fans watch the action unfold. Supporters must socially distance and sit only in the seat allocated to them. They cannot move seats at any time.
Face coverings must always be worn at the stadium on matchday, unless you are sat in a seat or while eating or drinking.
Supporters remain safely distanced as they stand to applaud the players.
Home supporters are spread out as far as the eye can see as Chelsea's new signing Hakim Ziyech prepares to take a corner.
From a side view it looks just like a normal matchday, even though safety protocols are being carefully observed.
The home faithful watch their team play live for the first time in over five months as Brighton and Chelsea play out a 1-1 draw.
