Carlo Ancelotti has credited Dominic Calvert-Lewin's hard work and focus as the key factors behind his striker's fantastic start to the season.
September's EA SPORTS Player of the Month is the form player in the Premier League, scoring five goals in three matches last month to fire Everton to the top of the table.
But his time in the spotlight has not come easy, with Ancelotti praising the 23-year-old for having the determination to push himself at such a young age.
"He deserves to be the Player of the Month," said Ancelotti, who made it an Everton awards double by being named the Barclays Manager of the Month.
"He is young but has made a lot of improvements.
"He is really focused in the box and this is the reason he has scored a lot of goals."
