The Scout's panel of experts give their verdict on who managers should captain ahead of the Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 18 deadline of 16:30 GMT on Tuesday.

Pranil Sheth (@Lateriser12

Manchester City v Brighton & Hove Albion is the standout fixture from an attacking view. The Seagulls like to go forward and this could work in City's favour, which is why Kevin De Bruyne (£11.7m) is my pick.

Utkarsh Dalmia (@zophar666)

It's difficult to look past De Bruyne. Man City seem back to their best and Brighton have the fifth-worst defensive record, conceding 28 goals.

Geoff Dance (@GeoffreyDance)

Bruno Fernandes (£11.3m) visits Burnley on the back of three double-digit scores in four Gameweeks. He has scored or assisted in all but one away fixture and boasts 12 returns in total from his seven road trips.

Ben Crabtree (@FC_CrabDogg)

Man City are on form and De Bruyne is on form. Brighton are struggling so, although other big-hitters have quite good fixtures, De Bruyne is an easy pick.

Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)

His away form and an opportunity for Manchester United to go top of the league makes me think Fernandes is a great captaincy option.

Neal Thurman (@nealjthurman)

It is hard to avoid De Bruyne playing at home against a leaky Brighton side.

Ben McNair (@drbenmcnair)

I'm going with De Bruyne. Man City have really settled into the new system that Pep Guardiola has them playing and De Bruyne is central to their attack.

Paul Gee (@FPLPaulGee)

For me, it's Fernandes. I know Man City are in fine form but I feel as though the Portuguese has a higher points ceiling.

Chuck Booth (@ChuckBoothSport)

Raheem Sterling's (£11.4m) small injury concern has tilted me toward De Bruyne. We know that he will start and has a favourable match.

Holly Shand (@FFCommunity_)

I can't look beyond De Bruyne. Man City have the best fixture on paper and he's their main man for offensive output.

Nick (@WGTA_Nick)

Fernandes gets the armband for me. He has been remarkably consistent since joining Man Utd and faces a fragile Burnley team in a relegation battle.
