Nottingham Forest have announced the signing of Anthony Elanga from Manchester United.

The 21-year-old Swedish winger put pen to paper on a five-year contract.

Elanga will wear the No 21 shirt and is Forest's second addition of the summer transfer window, after defender Ola Aina.

“It’s a pleasure to be here. It’s a proud moment, not only for me, but for my family as well,” Elanga told the club's official website.

"It’s the perfect next step for me in my career, it’s a big step and I’m really looking forward to playing in front of the Forest fans at the City Ground.

"I had interest from elsewhere, but for me, Nottingham Forest feels like the perfect place.

“I’ve been here [at the City Ground] with United, and from the minute I stepped out for the warm-up, I could hear them from the changing room.

“It’s a special place, but being here with Forest, I feel like it will be even more special.

“I’m really ready for the challenge and I just want to embrace everything and get to work."

Elanga joins Forest after spending five seasons with Man Utd, having come through their academy before making his way into the senior set-up.

He played 55 times in all competitions for the senior side and helped United win the Carabao Cup in 2023. Thirty-nine of those appearances came in the Premier League, where he scored three times.

Forest fans could get their first glimpse of Elanga in pre-season against Leeds United on 27 July.
