The Egyptian’s strike that helped to seal the win at Portman Road was his ninth on the opening weekend of a Premier League season, taking him above a group of legends.
Salah went into the match in Suffolk alongside Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer on eight goals in Matchweek 1.
Jamie Vardy moved level with that trio of legends in Monday's match, scoring his eighth Matchweek 1 goal with his headed equaliser in Leicester City's 1-1 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.

First Iraqi in the Premier League
Another small piece of history was made in the match when Ali Al-Hamadi came on in the 74th minute for Ipswich to become the first Iraqi player to appear in the competition.
His family fled Iraq at the start of the century when it was at war and Al-Hamadi was one year old. By coincidence, his family went to live in Liverpool, where he grew up.
In making his appearance, he took the number of nations represented in the 32 years of the Premier League to 124.
