The Scout's panel of Fantasy Premier League experts give their thoughts on who to captain in Gameweek 7 ahead of the deadline at 11:00 BST on Saturday 5 October.
Lee Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
Erling Haaland (£15.3m) at home to Fulham gets the armband for me, particularly after he scored a hat-trick in this fixture last season. If he blanks again though, without Rodri (£6.3m) and Kevin De Bruyne (£9.5m) in the team, it might make me think twice over captaining him in the coming weeks.
Pranil Sheth (@Lateriser12)
My captain this week will be Haaland as I expect him to return to goalscoring ways after blanking last week. It is a one-off where he doesn't score, and Manchester City more often than not show a strong reaction after dropping points.
Ben Crabtree (@FC_CrabDogg)
When Haaland is at home against anyone other than Arsenal or Liverpool, two or three returns feels quite likely. Easy decision this week.
Gianni Buttice (@GianniButtice)
Haaland at home against Fulham usually makes captaincy an easy decision. However, Man City played away in Europe on Tuesday night whereas Arsenal played at home. Add this to Arsenal having the best Gameweek 7 fixture, at home to Southampton, and I am tempted to back either Kai Havertz (£8.2m) or Bukayo Saka (£10.1m). Their underlying numbers against Leicester City were so impressive and I expect them to have similar joy against Southampton.
Holly Shand (@HollyShand)
Captaincy is perhaps tougher this week than in previous Gameweeks, with Haaland, Saka and Cole Palmer (£10.7m) all viable options. Ultimately, minutes (or lack of) in midweek could be influential, but Haaland has four goals and one assist against Fulham at the Etihad Stadium in two appearances, so he has the edge for me right now.
Nick Harris (@WGTA_Nick)
I gave Palmer the armband last week and am tempted to keep it on him, but Haaland against Fulham at home looks too good of a fixture to go without captaining him.
Mark McGettigan (@FPLGeneral)
It's going to be a very close call between Haaland and Palmer for me this week. Saka has a great fixture too. I like Haaland's fixture more than Palmer's but I'm very tempted to double down on my Wildcard pick and give the Chelsea man the armband this weekend, knowing that he won't be as highly owned as Haaland.
Az Phillips (@FPLBlackBox_Az)
Easy choice for me in Haaland. He scored a hat-trick against Fulham early in the season last year and has 39 points from his three home matches so far this campaign.
Sam Bonfield (@FPLFamily)
Ollie Watkins (£9.1m) and Saka could be good picks again this week, especially the latter at home to Southampton. However, Haaland is phenomenal at home and therefore I will hand him the armband this time around.
