The Breakdown: How Cole Palmer has become unstoppable

Kai Havertz’s (£8.2m) run of home goals earns him a place over Bukayo Saka (£10.1m) as the go-to Arsenal attacker for Gameweek 7 of Fantasy Premier League.

The German’s goal in the Gunners’ 2-0 UEFA Champions League win over Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday means he has scored in each of his five appearances at the Emirates Stadium in all competitions this season.

Havertz now has a home fixture against struggling Southampton to extend that run. He takes his place in a best XI that line up in a 3-4-3 formation, with Erling Haaland (£15.3m) handed the captain's armband and Cole Palmer (£10.7m) named vice-captain.

GW7 Scout Selection
Kepa Arrizabalaga (AFC Bournemouth) £4.5m

The AFC Bournemouth goalkeeper has made 17 saves in his three appearances, collecting five save points. Arrizabalaga could also claim his first clean sheet of the season away to Leicester City, who have produced a league-low 52 shots.

Gabriel (Arsenal) £6.2m

Two goals, three clean sheets and four bonus points have taken the Arsenal centre-back to the top of the defender standings on 37 points. A home encounter with Southampton gives Gabriel the chance to reward his 25 per cent backers at both ends of the pitch this weekend.

Ibrahima Konate (Liverpool) £5.2m

The Frenchman is offering good value in Liverpool's defence ahead of the Reds' trip to Crystal Palace. Konate has a goal, an assist and three clean sheets in his five starts, claiming 31 points, just two points behind his premium-priced team-mate Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.1m).

Leif Davis (Ipswich) £4.5m

The creativity statistics mark out the Ipswich Town left-back as one of the defenders most likely to get assists this season. Davis's 14 key passes and four big chances created both place joint-top in his position in Fantasy ahead of his visit to West Ham United.

Cole Palmer (Chelsea) £10.7m

Managers have made the Chelsea star their No 1 priority for Gameweek 7 after his four-goal demolition of Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend. Palmer has earned a massive 620,000+ new owners for his home match with Nottingham Forest, nearly TWICE the total of any other player.

Luis Diaz (Liverpool) £8.0m

Three double-figure hauls in his first six matches under Arne Slot have made the Colombian a popular pick in Fantasy. Diaz is the third most-owned midfielder in the game, found in over 36 per cent of squads for Liverpool’s visit to Palace.

Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) £7.4m

Brentford’s talisman has a perfect home record ahead of his encounter with bottom club Wolverhampton Wanderers. Mbeumo has scored in each of his three outings at the Gtech Community Stadium this season, netting four goals in total in those games and averaging 10.7 points per match.

Antoine Semenyo (AFC Bournemouth) £5.7m

Bournemouth’s winger took his tally to three goals and one assist for the season by scoring their final effort in Monday's 3-1 win over Southampton. Semenyo’s 28 shots and 17 shots in the box both place among the top four players in Fantasy this season.

Erling Haaland (Man City) £15.3m

A home match against Fulham gives Manchester City’s talisman the perfect chance to bounce back from his blank away to Newcastle United last weekend. Haaland produced 20 points in the corresponding fixture last season thanks to three goals and an assist.

Kai Havertz (Arsenal) £8.2m

Havertz’s eight big chances – situations where the player is expected score – are at least TWICE the total of any team-mate.

Dominic Solanke (Spurs) £7.6m

Tottenham Hotspur’s striker visits Brighton having scored both of his goals this season in his last two matches against Brentford and Manchester United. Similarly to Havertz, Solanke’s eight big chances are at least twice the tally of any team-mate.
