A visit from Ipswich Town gives Bryan Mbeumo (£7.6m) the chance to extend his 100 per cent home record in Gameweek 9 of Fantasy Premier League.
The Brentford talisman has scored in all four of his appearances at the Gtech Community Stadium this season, averaging 10.0 points per match in Fantasy across those contests.
Mbeumo takes him place in a best XI that line up in a 3-4-3 formation, with Erling Haaland (£15.4m) handed the armband and Cole Palmer (£10.9m) named as vice-captain.
Mark Flekken (Brentford) £4.5m
Brentford’s No 1 has already earned 12 save points - the equivalent of three clean sheets - in eight appearances. The Bees entertain an Ipswich side whose 13 big chances and 48 shots in the box are both league-low totals, lifting Flekken's prospects of a shutout.
Josko Gvardiol (Man City) £6.1m
Manchester City’s Croat is the most-bought player in the Gameweek, earning over 300,000 new owners ahead of a home encounter with Southampton. Gvardiol has scored both his goals this season across the last three Gameweeks and, after being rested from European action in midweek, could deliver a bumper haul against Saints.
Joel Veltman (Brighton) £4.5m
The full-back helped Brighton & Hove Albion to their third clean sheet of the season against Newcastle United last weekend. Notably, Veltman has earned bonus points on ALL THREE of those occasions, underlining his extra points potential at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
Rayan Ait-Nouri (Wolves) £4.4m
Two goals and two assists highlight the Moroccan’s huge potential for attacking returns. Ait-Nouri’s seven shots in the box and eight key passes both place among Wolves’ top three players, indicating his major all-round influence on their attack.
Cole Palmer (Chelsea) £10.9m
The Chelsea playmaker’s involvement in big chances – or situations where the player is expected to score – has helped him produce six goals and five assists. Palmer has had eight big chances and created a further nine, with his combined total of 17 more than any other player in 2024/25 Fantasy.
Phil Foden (Man City) £9.2m
Man City’s England star has a goal and an assist across his last two matches in all competitions.
Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) £7.6m
If you don’t already own him, now is the time to move for Mbeumo. According to the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), four of Brentford's next five matches score just two – that run starts and ends with home matches against promoted opponents, in Ipswich and Leicester City.
Facundo Buonanotte (Leicester) £5.0m
At a cost of just £5.0m, Leicester's on-loan midfielder has the form to offer great value at home to Nottingham Forest. Buonanotte has started each of the Foxes’ last three matches, producing two goals, an assist and 21 points.
Erling Haaland (Man City) £15.4m
While three successive blanks have diminished many managers’ faith in the Norwegian, a home fixture against Southampton gives Haaland the perfect opportunity to get back to his best. If Haaland’s 73 per cent ownership had any lingering doubts over the captaincy, his two goals at home to Sparta Prague in the UEFA Champions League in midweek will surely have calmed any fears.
Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa) £9.1m
Another player who was rested from European duties in midweek, Aston Villa’s Watkins will be fully refreshed to continue his fine record against AFC Bournemouth. The forward was involved in four of his side’s five goals across their two meetings with the Cherries last season, amassing 20 points.
Chris Wood (Nott’m Forest) £6.3m
Five goals over the first eight Gameweeks have helped the New Zealand international collect 46 points, just four points off second place in the forward standings. Wood’s aerial impact looks set to be a major factor for Nott’m Forest against a Leicester side who have conceded league-high totals of 35 headed shots and 49 attempts at set-pieces.
