Can Bournemouth complete quadruple by beating Liverpool?

Huge numbers of Fantasy Premier League managers are set to use their Triple Captain chip on Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) in Double Gameweek 24.

Over 621,000 FPL bosses currently have their Triple Captain chip active, making it the seventh most-popular Gameweek of all-time for using the chip.

Salah is the most-selected player in Fantasy, owned by a massive 71 per cent of managers ahead of the Reds' trips to AFC Bournemouth and Everton.

In his best start ever to a Fantasy campaign over his eight seasons at Liverpool, the Egyptian has produced all four of his top scores this season - 21, 18, 17 and 16 points - in away matches.

There is, nonetheless, an argument to suggest that neither of Liverpool’s two matches will be straightforward.

Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last 11 Premier League matches, while Liverpool’s visit to Everton will be the last Merseyside derby ever to be played at Goodison Park.

Furthermore, Salah's two opponents rank among the best six defences in home matches this season for both goals conceded and clean sheets. Indeed, Bournemouth have conceded a mere seven goals in home matches this season, the best defensive record in the league.

Best home defences 24/25
Club Clean sheets Goals conceded
Bournemouth 5 7
Arsenal 5 9
Liverpool 4 9
Nottingham Forest 4 10
Newcastle 5 12
Everton 4 13

Regardless, Salah is sure to be the runaway captain for DGW24 due to his ownership. And by playing the Triple Captain chip, you are essentially earning yourself 50 per cent more points than those who are only handing him the armband.

If you would rather hold the Triple Captain chip for now, there are more Double Gameweeks expected later on this season. The downside with this strategy, though, is that future Double Gameweeks could be more suited to the Bench Boost or Assistant Manager chips.

Instead, you could use the fixture schedules to target single-Gameweek opportunities. A prime example of this would be Gameweek 28, when Liverpool and Salah are at home to bottom side Southampton
