A trio of Liverpool players are named in the best XI for Double Gameweek 24 (DGW24) of Fantasy Premier League.
Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) is joined by his team-mates Cody Gakpo (£7.6m) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.3m) for the Reds’ two matches against AFC Bournemouth and Everton.
Gakpo is the most-bought player ahead of Saturday’s 11:00 GMT deadline, collecting a massive 668,000+ new owners, while over 172,000 transfers in have made Alexander-Arnold the most-bought defender.
The trio take their place in a 3-4-3 formation, with Salah handed the armband and Gakpo named as vice-captain.
Jordan Pickford (Everton) £5.1m
Everton’s No 1 is the most-bought goalkeeper in DGW24 thanks to his two home matches against Leicester City and Liverpool. Over 187,000 Fantasy managers have moved for Pickford, whose total of 95 points this season is 22 more than any team-mate.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) £7.3m
The right-back’s form on the road suggests he could rival Salah and Gakpo for big returns in DGW24. Alexander-Arnold has amassed 28 points across his last three away matches, combining a goal and an assist with two clean sheets and five bonus points.
Lewis Hall (Newcastle) £5.1m
Newcastle United’s left-back is in fine home form ahead of the visit of Fulham. Hall has produced attacking or defensive returns in each of his last four outings at St James’ Park, collecting 31 points thanks to three assists, three clean sheets and three bonus points.
Nikola Milenkovic (Nottingham Forest) £4.8m
The centre-back has helped Nottingham Forest produce nine clean sheets this season, ranking joint-top with Liverpool. Milenkovic also boasts a huge threat from set-pieces ahead of the home match against Brighton & Hove Albion – his 17 headed shots are more than any other defender in 2024/25 Fantasy.
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £13.7m
A huge 621,000+ Fantasy managers currently have their Triple Captain chip active, placing DGW24 among the top 10 Gameweeks of all time for the use of the chip. The vast majority are expected to play it on Salah, whose four top scores this season – 21, 18, 17 and 16 points – were all produced in away matches.
Cole Palmer (Chelsea) £11.3m
Chelsea’s meeting with West Ham United at Stamford Bridge can help their playmaker recover from back-to-back blanks. Palmer is the second top-scoring player in home matches this season, with his 90 points just behind the 95 of Salah.
Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) £7.8m
Brentford’s talisman is the third top-scoring player in home matches in 2024/25, producing nine goals, two assists and 88 points. The Bees entertain a Tottenham Hotspur side who have lost each of their last four Premier League matches.
Anthony Elanga (Nottingham Forest) £5.3m
The Forest winger has blanked only once across his last four home matches thanks to his all-round attacking potential. Elanga has two goals, an assist and 26 points over those encounters.
Alexander Isak (Newcastle) £9.5m
Newcastle’s Swede has failed to score in just ONE of the last 10 Gameweeks. Isak has delivered five of his six double-figure scores this season in that spell, suggesting he can produce another big haul at home to Fulham.
Cody Gakpo (Liverpool) £7.6m
The Dutchman has started each of Liverpool’s last 11 league matches since Gameweek 12. Gakpo has produced seven goals and two assists over that run to total 65 points, second only to the 115 points of Salah among Liverpool players.
Iliman Ndiaye (Everton) £5.1m
The Senegalese is Everton’s most-bought player for DGW24, with over 262,000 Fantasy managers bringing him in. Ndiaye has scored in each of the last two Gameweeks and is the Toffees’ top-scoring player since David Moyes returned as manager, collecting 17 points across the last three Gameweeks.
