Cameron Toshack believes Swansea City will be taking on some of the best Under-23 players in the world during their maiden Premier League 2 Division 1 campaign.
The 2016/17 Division 2 champions make their debut in the top tier on Friday against Liverpool. Head coach Toshack (pictured top right) is excited for the challenge that lies ahead.
“The competition will consistently be at a high level,” Toshack told swanseacity.com ahead of Friday's 7pm BST kick-off at Landore. “Our players will go into games knowing they are featuring against some of the best players in the world.
“It will be a challenge, but one we have to embrace. Our players know they will need to be at their best every game but I believe that will only help us grow as a team.”
"This season we compete in the best Under-23s league in the world." 🏆
