Jordan Lyden helped Aston Villa come from a goal down to beat West Bromwich Albion 3-1 in their Premier League Cup Group E match.

The Villa captain netted a stunning free-kick after 71 minutes to make it 2-1, soon after Easah Suliman had drawn the hosts level at Keys Park.

The home side completed their comeback with 10 minutes remaining when Harry McKirdy scored a third.

Alex Bradley had given the Baggies an early lead inside five minutes, slotting beyond Viktor Johanson.

Aston Villa are away to Ipswich Town on Monday 6 November in their next Group E match and West Brom host Sheffiield United four days earlier.
