Derby County produced a stubborn defensive display to claim a 0-0 draw with Everton at Pride Park, a result that puts them top of Group C.

The visitors, watched by coach David Unsworth from the stands, had the better chances and defender Luke Garbutt hit the bar in the 55th minute.

Charles Vernam stood out for County but he could not get the better of Toffees goalkeeper Joe Hilton.

The Rams lead the group with four points, one ahead of Dinamo Zagreb and VfL Wolfsburg with Everton on one.
