Exeter City remain top of Group H despite being held to a 1-1 draw by Hull City at St James Park.
Kyle Edwards, on loan from West Bromwich Albion, gave Exeter a third-minute lead but Hull's Liam Edwards levelled in the 21st minute.
Exeter's Edwards hit the top of the Hull bar in the second half but neither side could find a winner.
The Grecians, on seven points, are a point ahead of both Brighton & Hove Albion and Sunderland, with Hull bottom on four.
