Martin Dubravka says the support he got from the Newcastle United fans on the final day of the season made joining the club permanently an easy decision.
The Slovakia goalkeeper made his January loan from Sparta Prague permanent this week after helping the Magpies finish 10th in their first season back in the Premier League.
With Dubravka in goal Newcastle won six of 12 matches, including a 3-0 final-day victory over Chelsea at St James' Park.
The 29-year-old said the atmosphere on that day made him never want to leave.
"The last game against Chelsea, I've never had that feeling," Dubravka told Newcastle's official website. "It was something special. I didn't want to walk away, I wanted to stay and enjoy it."
