Neal Maupay’s brilliant late overhead kick earned Brighton & Hove Albion a 1-1 draw at West Ham United.
The striker acrobatically beat Lukasz Fabianski in the 89th minute from Tariq Lamptey's cross to deny West Ham a first win in three matches.
Tomas Soucek had opened the scoring in the fifth minute when he glanced in a header from Pablo Fornals’ corner.
Fornals went close to doubling the hosts’ lead on 28 minutes when his fierce shot struck the crossbar.
Brighton lost both Jeremy Sarmiento and Adam Webster to first-half injuries but went close to levelling five minutes before the break when Fabianski denied Jakub Moder.
Jarrod Bowen rolled a shot wide and Declan Rice had his effort superbly saved by Robert Sanchez, and the hosts rued those missed chances when Brighton levelled late on.
West Ham, on 24 points, stay fourth while Brighton rise to seventh with 19 points.
