Raphinha's penalty deep into stoppage time earned Leeds United a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace and lifted them to 15th.
Leeds dominated the match but twice nearly fell behind to efforts by substitute Christian Benteke.
Only two players in Premier League history have scored more Tuesday goals than Benteke but the Belgian was unable to add to his tally of 12 as he headed a big chance wide before seeing a shot saved on the line by Illan Meslier.
Palace were made to rue those missed opportunities when Raphinha kept his cool in the third minute of added time after Marc Guehi had handled Liam Cooper's goalbound header.
A third win of the season takes Leeds five points clear of the bottom three.
A first away defeat in four matches drops Palace to 12th as they suffer back-to-back losses.
