WHO'S GOING TO BE YOUR

MAN OF THE MATCH?

Roerslev lifts Brentford above Villa

Mads Roerslev scored a late winner and set up Brentford's other goal to help his side come from behind to beat Aston Villa 2-1.

Danny Ings gave Villa a 16th-minute lead, taking Emiliano Buendia's skilful assist before sliding an effort into the far corner.

Brentford levelled three minutes before half-time through Yoane Wissa's superb curling strike after Roerslev had picked him out from the right.

The hosts showed their intent in a tight second half when Frank Onyeka's shot was turned onto the post by Emiliano Martinez.

Roerslev scored the winning goal, his first for Brentford, seven minutes from time, following up his initial shot which had been saved by Martinez.

Villa pushed for a late leveller but goalkeeper Alvaro Fernandez saved superbly to deny Ings.

Brentford's first win in three matches lifts them above Villa and into 12th with 23 points. Villa are one point and one place below them.
