Managers in Fantasy Premier League selected Sergio Aguero (£11.9m) as their favourite captain for Gameweek 37.
The Manchester City striker is backed by over 1.2m for his home match with Leicester City on Monday evening.
Aguero scored four goals in a 5-1 win in the corresponding fixture last season.
Sterling differential
His popularity means that his team-mate, Raheem Sterling (£11.6m), could be a huge differential for the armband.
At home, Sterling has six double-digit hauls to the four of Aguero.
Yet he earned less than a third of the striker's backing.
Salah second
Instead, it is Mohamed Salah (£13.3m) who is Aguero's nearest rival.
More than 1.1m have captained the Liverpool attacker for his trip to Newcastle United later today.

The Man City duo dominated the plans of the top 100 managers.
As many as 78 of them opted for either Aguero or Sterling.
And the Argentinian was again the clear favourite, by 59 to the 19 of Sterling.

The Premier League title race appears to have heavily influenced the Triple Captain chip choices for Gameweek 37.
Man City and Liverpool both supply two of the top five, with Eden Hazard (£10.9m) the exception.
Yet the Chelsea winger has the statistics to suggest he will be a big success at home to Watford tomorrow.
Hazard has 63 FPL points in his last six at Stamford Bridge.

Players from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Manchester United were among the most popular players transferred in for Gameweek 37.
Both sides face relegated opposition this week.
Wolves pair Diogo Jota (£6.3m) and Raul Jimenez (£7.0m) entertain Fulham this afternoon.
And Paul Pogba (£8.5m) and Luke Shaw (£5.1m) travel to Huddersfield Town tomorrow.
Coleman oversight
However, few had the foresight to bring in Seamus Coleman (£5.2m).
The Everton right-back leads the way in Gameweek 37 after producing a goal and clean sheet in a 2-0 home win over Burnley.
Coleman claimed his season-high haul of 14 points on Friday evening.
Yet just 5,344 managers owned him for the Clarets' encounter.
And only 348 handed Coleman the Gameweek 37 captaincy.
