Luke Donnelly scored twice as Celtic beat an experienced Aston Villa side 3-0 in the Premier League International Cup.

Villa had Tommy Elphick, Aly Cissokho, Aaron Tshibola and Gabby Agbonlahor in their line-up at Villa Park, but fell behind to Donnelly's 15th-minute goal.

Jack Aitchison, 16, doubled Celtic's lead just after the half-hour.

Agbonlahor had the chance to bring Villa back into the match but saw his penalty saved and six minutes later Donnelly's free-kick made it 3-0.

Villa, who beat Valencia in their opening Group E match, face Norwich City in their next tie in the competition on Monday December 5. Celetic next face Norwich on Wednesday November 16.
