Everton are aiming to extend their winning start while champions Liverpool are seeking to bounce back following their 7-2 defeat at Aston Villa.

Team news

Allan, Andre Gomes and Seamus Coleman have returned to training and are expected to be available for the Toffees. But Yerry Mina (thigh) will be assessed upon his return following international duty.

Mason Holgate, Jarrad Branthwaite and Jean-Philippe Gbamin remain sidelined.

Thiago and Sadio Mane are in contention for Liverpool after returning to training having tested positive for COVID-19.

Naby Keita will not be available confirms Jurgen Klopp.

Did you know?

Everton are looking to win their opening five league matches for the first time since 1938/39, while Dominic Calvert-Lewin could become the first player to score in each of the Toffees' first five encounters since Tommy Lawton in the same season.

The last three Premier League meetings between these teams at Goodison Park have finished 0-0. No fixture in English top-flight history has ever finished goalless four times in a row.

Liverpool can go 23 matches unbeaten against Everton in all competitions, which would be a club record against a single opponent.

Mohamed Salah is one goal away from becoming the 17th player to score 100 for Liverpool in all competitions. If he achieves that feat in his 159th match at Everton, he would be the third-fastest Reds player to reach his century, after Roger Hunt (144) and Jack Parkinson (153).
