I fancy Erling Haaland (£14.0m) to put Manchester United to the sword in the Manchester derby, particularly after he netted a brace in the UEFA Champions League this week, and with Man Utd's current injury woes. I also think Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur will register three points this weekend, so Mohamed Salah (£12.8m), Son Heung-min (£9.5m) and Bukayo Saka (£8.6m) are all strong options.

Salah against Nottingham Forest is the standout pick for me. But I am a little tempted by Ollie Watkins (£8.3m) given his and Aston Villa's home form.

It's a good week to go against Haaland. I think Salah and Saka have the standout fixtures. My preference is the Egyptian as Liverpool's attack has looked more potent this season than Arsenal's.

Salah at home and in form is hard to back against. Although I do not think Haaland and Watkins are far off as the best options this week either.

Salah for me is the best choice because of his enticing home fixture against Nott'm Forest. However, I am considering an outside punt on the very consistent Watkins at home to Luton Town.

This is likely to be the first week I don't captain Haaland. There are better fixtures for the alternative options. It will be Watkins at home to Luton or Salah (if I buy him) at home to Nott'm Forest for me.

I really like Haaland for the captaincy given Man Utd's injury problems, as well as the Norwegian's Champions League performance this week. However, I will likely hand the armband to Salah. He has only blanked once this season and, against Nott'm Forest at Anfield, he has the biggest potential ceiling for returns.
