A trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers gives Kai Havertz (£7.8m) the chance to extend his improving form in Gameweek 23 of Fantasy Premier League.
The Arsenal forward has scored in back-to-back matches in all competitions, also providing an assist in the Gunners’ 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening.
Havertz is joined by his team-mate Gabriel (£6.4m) in a 3-4-3 formation, with Mohamed Salah (£13.7m) handed the armband and Alexander Isak (£9.5m) named vice-captain.
Matz Sels (Nottingham Forest) £5.0m
The Nottingham Forest goalkeeper visits AFC Bournemouth in defiant away form. Sels has climbed to the top of the goalkeeper standings on the back of three successive clean sheets on the road, totalling 22 points across those encounters.
Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) £7.3m
Liverpool’s right-back has five assists and eight clean sheets to his name this season, already matching both those totals from 2023/24 Fantasy. Managers have made Alexander-Arnold the second most-bought player in the Gameweek. He has earned 261,000+ transfers in for the Reds' home meeting with Ipswich Town.
Gabriel (Arsenal) £6.4m
Arsenal’s Brazilian has already surpassed his attacking output from last season – Gabriel's three goals and two assists is one assist more than he managed in the previous campaign. The centre-back's 14 headed shots rank joint-top among defenders, showing why his threat from set-pieces will provide a major threat against Wolves.
Lewis Hall (Newcastle) £5.1m
A share of set-piece duties has helped the Newcastle United left-back emerge as one of the most reliable defenders in Fantasy. Ahead of a trip to Southampton, Hall has four assists, five clean sheets and just ONE blank over the last seven Gameweeks, amassing 52 points across that spell.
Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £13.7m
Despite suffering back-to-back blanks for the first time this season, Liverpool’s Egyptian will be the runaway favourite for the captaincy at home to Ipswich. Salah has totalled 36 points across his three meetings with promoted clubs in 2024/25 FPL, including a goal, an assist and 14 points against Kieran McKenna’s side in Gameweek 1.
Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) £7.8m
The Brentford talisman’s 15 shots in the box and 16 chances created both place among the top six players in Fantasy over the last six Gameweeks, highlighting his potential for goals and assists. Mbeumo scored the first of his 13 goals this season against his hosts Crystal Palace in Gameweek 1, collecting nine points.
Anthony Gordon (Newcastle) £7.7m
An ownership of 25.8 per cent makes the Newcastle star the fourth most-popular midfielder in Fantasy. Gordon had scored or assisted in nine successive matches in all competitions prior to his blank against Bournemouth last weekend, and a match against Southampton’s struggling defence gives him every chance of rewarding those backers.
Morgan Rogers (Aston Villa) £5.5m
A cost of just £5.5m makes the Aston Villa midfielder a standout source of value at home to West Ham United. Rogers has produced a goal and an assist in each of his last two outings at Villa Park, totalling 25 points across those contests against Manchester City and Brighton & Hove Albion.
Alexander Isak (Newcastle) £9.5m
Isak’s record of 33 points across three meetings with promoted clubs is near-identical to Salah’s total of 36 and shows why he is the best armband alternative to the Egyptian in Gameweek 23. The Newcastle forward has proven marginally more reliable than Salah recently, blanking just ONCE over the last nine Gameweeks.
Kai Havertz (Arsenal) £7.8m
Arsenal’s German will be hoping history repeats itself when he faces Wolves this weekend. Havertz delivered his best score of the season against Wolves in Gameweek 1, earning 12 points, thanks to a goal and an assist.
Jean-Philippe Mateta (Crystal Palace) £7.3m
The recent return from injury of Eberechi Eze (£6.7m) has helped get the Crystal Palace forward back to his best. Mateta has scored in three successive Gameweeks to claim 29 points, combining four goals with seven bonus points.
