The Premier League continues to support clubs throughout the football pyramid from grassroots upwards to ensure that football is a game to be enjoyed and accessible for everyone.
Between 2022 and 2025 over £1.6billion of Premier League investment will be made into the wider football community, including funding to create and improve facilities.
Since 2000, more than 1,000 clubs throughout the men's and women's football pyramid in England and Wales have received grants from the Premier League Stadium Fund totalling more than £200million.
Indeed in 2023/24 alone, more than 87,000 grassroots teams played at sites improved by PL, FA and government funding through the Football Foundation.
From floodlights to new stands and changing rooms, the Premier League continues to invest in facilities at all levels of the game helping to improve the matchday experience for all, on and off the pitch.
Celebrating More Than A Game
Over the next two weeks, the Premier League and clubs will be celebrating "More Than A Game", which highlights the positive impact of Premier League investment into communities and all levels of football.
"More Than A Game" will be visible at all Premier League matches between 1-16 February. During this time, more than 100 clubs across the Premier League, EFL and National League will also celebrate their Community Captain, someone at the heart of the club’s Premier League-funded programmes who deserves recognition for their contribution to the game and society.
The first Community Captains to be announced this season were Brighton & Hove Albion’s Jaime Quinn, while Manchester United stars Amad and Alejandro Garnacho made a surprise visit to present Nick Bradshaw of Man Utd Foundation with his award.
