A bizarre goal from Chris Wood gave Burnley a draw with Arsenal that took them seven points clear of the relegation zone.
Arsenal took the lead in the sixth minute. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang cut into the area and beat Nick Pope at his near post.
Aubameyang and Bukayo Saka had chances to double the lead but each poked the ball wide.
They were made to pay in the 39th minute when Granit Xhaka's attempted pass in his own area hit Wood and went in.
A quiet second half came to life after 77 minutes. Erik Pieters' fabulous 30-yard volley was tipped over by Bernd Leno, who denied Wood with his legs shortly after.
Pieters was shown a red card and Arsenal awarded a penalty as referee Andre Marriner deemed he had blocked Nicolas Pepe's shot on the line with his arm. But the decision was overturned after VAR had found it was not handball.
Arsenal almost snatched a win in stoppage time as Ben Mee blocked Aubameyang's shot before Dani Ceballos's strike hit a post.
A fifth home draw in a row keeps Burnley 15th on 30 points. Arsenal stay 10th on 38 points.
